Capital #Pride parade ended abruptly moments ago. People started running from Dupont Circle, headed toward Georgetown. Police got on a bullhorn asked those nearby to evacuate immediately. View from a balcony on P St., west of the Circle. Remains unclear what’s going on right now.

After Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) was refused entry to a detention center for children at the border, Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) says he is drafting a bill that would guarantee members of Congress have access to these types of facilities for inspections.

The House has passed a bill by a vote of 228-197 that could give a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers. There were 9 Republicans who joined all Democrats in voting in favor of the bill. Next up, the measure heads to the Senate where it faces a tough climb.

House Democrats are framing today's vote to repeal Trump's national emergency declaration as a way to preserve the separation of powers in the Constitution. While it's expected to easily pass, it will be interesting to see how many Republicans join Democrats to vote yes. (1/2)
