REAPPOINTED | Newly sworn in President H.E Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah reappointed Emma Theofelus as the Minister of ICT. Nandi-Ndaitwah merged and trimmed her Ministries to fourteen with fourteen Ministers and seven deputy Ministers. Theofelus will serve without a deputy Minister.
MADAM PRESIDENT | The Republic of Namibia has sworn in its first female and 5th President H.E. Dr.
Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah. Chief Justice Peter Shivute swore her in at State House in Windhoek this morning.
PAYING HOMAGE - The First Lady of Rwanda, Madam Jeannette Kagame visited the third First Lady, Monica Geingos at Casa Rosalia on the outskirts of Windhoek to offer her condolences and pay respects following the passing of the late Statesman.
SWORN-IN - H.E. Dr Nangolo Mbumba was sworn in as the fourth President of the Republic of Namibia today in Windhoek, following the passing of H.E. President Dr Hage Geingob. Dr Mbumba, who was Vice President, will lead the country until 21 March 2025.

NEW ROLE - H.E. President Dr Nangolo Mbumba has today appointed H.E. Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as Vice-President of the Republic of Namibia. Her new role will be to advise the President, among others.
EXTENDED DEADLINE - In line with the Communications Act of 2009, ICT Minister Dr Peya Mushelenga has extended the SIM card registration period until 31 March 2024. This grants a three-month extension for individuals yet to register their SIM cards.
