@MIAttyGen & a coalition of 18 AGs are celebrating the US Court of Appeals’ dismissal of the Trump admin’s appeal of the states’ victory in their lawsuit challenging the fed govt's unlawful order to freeze all federal permitting for wind energy projects. go.mi.gov/fgavu2710
“The Trump administration’s attempt to halt federal approvals for wind energy projects would have derailed billions of dollars in infrastructure and workplace investments. I am relieved that they have abandoned this disruption to the energy sector here in Michigan and across the country. My office remains committed to fighting back against unlawful actions by the federal government that would raise our electricity bills and harm our environment,” said Attorney General Nessel.

Today, in the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County, Stephanie Chatfield, 38, of Levering, pled guilty to one count of Embezzlement from a Non-Profit, $200-$1,000, announced @MIAttyGen Dana Nessel. Read more at go.mi.gov/o01u62701
“Non-profits and 501(c)4 organizations are meant to support the public welfare and wellbeing, they’re not a personal slush fund for the politically connected. These are strictly regulated accounts and that regulation relies, in-part, on honest operations and truthful financial reporting. When public oversight fails to hold their operators accountable to their mission, and their donors, my office will act to maintain the public integrity, including, when necessary, by securing criminal convictions such as this one,” said Attorney General Nessel.

@MIAttyGen Dana Nessel has launched an investigation into a BP gas station located in Romulus for allegedly price gouging unsuspecting motorists. Read more at go.mi.gov/00t1z2696
“With the price of everything already squeezing families, the last thing Michiganders and our visitors who are rushing to return a rental car need is to be taken advantage of at the pump. Allegations of marking up prices, here by as much as 72% over the average, call for a vigorous investigation. My office remains committed to pursuing those who engage in illegal price gouging to the fullest extent of the law,” said Attorney General Nessel.

It’s #FlagDay. We’re commemorating the passage of the Flag Act in 1777. That’s when Congress adopted the official U.S. flag. Creating our flag was an important step in separating from Britain. To celebrate, learn about our flag. Or make a patriotic snack for family & friends.
