    Extreme heat can be especially dangerous for people aged 65 and older. Remember to always check on senior neighbors and family members during hot days. If they don't have a working air conditioner, take them to a local cooling center: bit.ly/MarylandCoolin….

    Whether you’re cooling off in a pool, lake, or ocean, remember to reapply sunscreen every 30 minutes to maintain sun protection. Follow these tips and more for a UV-safe summer: health.maryland.gov/sunprotection.
    3 Sun Protection Tips. Stay in the shade as much as possible, especially during the middle of the day. Use clothing, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours, and right after swimming or sweating.
