This collapse in oil sales, coupled with decades of irresponsible expansion of the public sector & failure to diversify Iraq's economy beyond oil is why the Iraqi government is struggling to pay state salaries. The salaries for July were paid with major delays.

Abu al-Dhuhur Airbase, which Israel bombed, is 330 KM from Israel's northern border. The Israeli occupation of southern Syria was not based on any specific security threats, but its abuse of local residents will end up creating armed resistance. A self-fulfilling prophecy.

كثير من أصدقائي العرب يسألونني بشأن ما الذي سيكون مختلفاً تحت حكومة أيزنكوت. للأسف أعتقد أنه فيما يخص إقامة دولة فلسطينية لن يتغير شيءٌ؛ لأنه بسبب 07/10 الرأي العام الإسرائيلي في مجمله يعارض إقامة مثل هذه الدولة التي في نظر الإسرائيليين ستُستخدم كنقطة انطلاق لمجازر مشابهة
