Syrians in Syria and around the world are celebrating the collapse of a regime which has brutalized them for decades.
It's non-Syrians who seem to be most upset by Assad's fall (something we knew all along)
In the town of Sahnaya, in the Damascus countryside, Syrian Christians are celebrating the fall of the regime.
"One, one, one, the Syrian people are one" they chant
With Assad gone from their cities, many Syrians can and will return home. This means civil activism will increase drastically. The road is not easy, and there are many challenges ahead, but for the first time in a long time we can dream of building a free Syria once more.
My timeline is filled with videos showing Syrians cleaning their neighbourhoods, re-painting buildings & planting trees across the country.
This is the spirit of the revolution. Syrians will together re-build their country, one they can take pride in.
