- Bit of a storm brewing in the Sheffield Women’s Football League. Teams refusing to play another side who are fielding a transgender woman on their side. Already been a serious injury. Team in question not budging and wanting to defeat discrimination. Thoughts?
- - ‘Big 6’ bugger off to Saudi Super League - PL scrapped, FL renamed Divs 1-4 - No VAR or other technology - FA Cup replays for all rounds, and semis away from Wembley - Clubs owned by supporters, player wages can’t be more than 100% of gate receipts Save football.
- Apparently Meadowhall having its busiest day in 30 years of trading today. Queues for every shop. Overflow car park full. Staff overwhelmed. Meanwhile non-league football clubs going bust cos they can't admit spectators. We're doing this all wrong.
- Wednesday fans after effectively relegating Leicester in 2008. Since then, Leicester have won League 1, won the Championship, won the Premier League, reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League and won the FA Cup. Wednesday have been relegated twice and made a cakeball.
- In isolation a horrible end to a good season. Bigger picture #swfc have been dying a slow death for 25 years. No plan, no identity, no youth system, shit recruitment, shit owners, shit managers, decaying facilities. Longest suffering fans in England, bar none.
- Sheffield doesn't do anywhere near enough to shout about being the home of football. BBC should be panning to Sheffield when showing goal celebrations - this is where the game was invented!
- Forget everything for one minute and imagine you're Liam Shaw - boyhood Wednesdayite scoring his first goal for the club in front of the Kop. What it's all about.
- As for Wednesday, the worst part for me is that I've lost interest. Chansiri has taken the club away from the fans and run it into the ground. We might still have the same name, kit and ground, but the club is not the Sheffield Wednesday we used to know.
- Absolutely buzzing for Will Grainger, his dad @richgrain and all the family. 16 year old kid from Wales High School making his Wednesday debut. Another Kivo lad Ernie Weaver a rock in defence. In to the history books.
- 20 years in the doldrums and still getting 5k fans travelling to dead rubber away games. Staggering support. Deserve so much more.Sheffield Wednesday fans at Preston today. #SWFC
