After Ronald Reagan was shot, he joked with the surgeons before going into surgery, “I hope you’re all Republicans.” Everyone laughed, because it was obvious that political views were totally irrelevant to their medical duty. Now, it seems that is not true for many. Chilling.

I was at my barber today, and one of the barbers used Our Lord’s name in vain. My habit—even if I’m watching a movie in private—is to say “Blessed be His Holy Name!” every time I hear Our Lord’s name taken in vain. So that’s what I did. He was immediately shocked and said

If you are Catholic and don’t pray a daily Rosary, you need to start As in, now. Little did I know how much the Rosary would change my life when my pastor and spiritual Father (a convert from protestantism as well) first recommended it. Our Lady’s prayers are powerful!
