Robert E. Lee was not an honorable man. Kelly’s statements about the Civil War show a surprising lack of knowledge of U.S. history.

You forgot 1. Co-founding Apple and building Pixar 2. Taking profits from early work at Oracle to found Siebel Systems 3. Making up stories like Harry Potter (U.K., I know, but still) 4. Providing a better service for financial data 5. Building a PC company from your dorm room

There are basically 5 ways to accumulate a billion dollars in America: 1) Profiting from a monopoly 2) Insider-trading 3) Political payoffs 4) Fraud 5) Inheritance None of these has anything to do with being successful in the supposed free market.

The fascinating problem here is that it penalizes the family that sacrifices to put a child in a better-performing high school and a less dangerous neighborhood. Even though the goal is to get into the best possible college, in a nice neighborhood.

Just a man and his iPad. I shot this photo at the #Apple #iPad introduction, 11 years ago today. I had a good seat, @waltmossberg. $AAPL earnings after the bell.

About five years ago, I met with @coinbase CEO @brian_armstrong to get to know the company. I downloaded the app and he sent me $1 in #Bitcoin to show me how it works. I decided to keep the $1 to track Bitcoin’s progress:

Amazing how Apple has managed to build a smartphone “monopoly” with barely 50% share in the U.S. and a wildly profitable rival with a $1.8 trillion market cap. What’s the definition of monopoly again? $AAPL $GOOGL #DOJ

I met with @brian_armstrong at The Creamery in San Francisco on 7/24/15. He wanted to show me how his @coinbase app worked, so he sent me $1 worth of $BTC. Here it is today:

Dawning on me that some of the high-horse voices out there have no idea who the impacted #SVB depositors are. They don’t cover entrepreneurs. Too busy hate-scrolling @Jason, @DavidSacks & @mcuban, writing think pieces about “big tech.” Do more reporting, people.

I speak with @nvidia CEO Jensen Huang minutes after the $NVDA call with the stock up 9%. We discuss #OpenAI's #Sora driving further demand, why Nvidia can continue to thrive as the market shifts to inferencing, and more. @CNBCOvertime x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

Great piece on @karaswisher. If you don't respect her intelligence, her independence and her network, you haven't been watching closely enough. vanityfair.com/news/2023/03/k…
