1. The screed written by Clarkson and the subsequent rationalisation dressed as an apology should horrify us all. You don't have to be "pro" Meghan or "woke" to recognise rabid, unhinged misogyny when you see it - and to reject it unequivocally.

🧵People don’t care that a rich man is a predator, a liar, a bigot & a dolt. Some rationalise their choice on “economy” or 🙄 “family values” but really: He hates the same people they do - and that’s the draw. Trump voters will celebrate, but they’ll learn… he hates them too.

I’ve said it before, but it bears saying again: Society wildly underestimates the latent hatred so many men harbour for women, apparently, or perhaps, especially for the women they covet or envy. People like Tate & Morgan are aspirational role models for this toxic cult.
