- Good news on the medical front. My first CT scan since ending chemotherapy was clean.
- Some good news. My nine-day hospital adventure for quadruple bypass ends today as I am getting discharged.
- Good personal news. A CT scan showed no sign of cancer returning. I begin chemotherapy as preventative measure Tuesday. Again, I can't thank everyone enough for the prayers, kind thoughts and continued encouragement! It means so much..
- My surgery Monday wound up being quadruple bypass but doctors thought it went well. Still beat up but starting to feel better.

00:00 - Some good news on the personal front: I have passed the five-year mark since my colon cancer surgery and my oncologist tells me there is now less than 1% of recurrance.
- Now that chemo is behind me, I want to thank everyone so very much for the prayers, encouragement and good thoughts over the past 4 1/2 months! It made a big difference in getting me through what could have been a very difficult time.
- I feel sorry for Athletics fans that the team is leaving. I feel almost as sorry for Pirates fans that the team is staying.

- An update:. I will have a chemotherapy treatment in two weeks. If that goes well, I will continue chemo orally for three months. The outlook is very good and this is primarily a preventative measure. Thanks for the all the support these last three weeks. It means so very much!
