- Wed night was tough as Bryce was in a major car accident. Im so thankful for Bryce to be alive, IDK how he ran a track meet the next day. All it takes is one second to change a life. Parents: never stop coaching your kids on their driving. Kids: please take the coaching as love!
- Dear HS track athletes. Hopefully, your coach told you but in case they didn’t …A wind aided race or jump is NOT a PR. It may be a win, or good performance. It’s not OFFICIAL.
- People often make the mistake of thinking the best athletes only play football or basketball. Go to a track meet.... everywhere you look, you will find athleticism that’s very special!

- If I were college coach, any HS athlete not running track in the summer would raise a red flag. An athlete willing to go 4-8 months annually without training/competing at a high level would make me wonder if simply “getting” to college through track was the ultimate goal.
- When you hear a TX HS coach saying indoors “you’re running too fast too early” or discouraging an athlete from competing indoors….that’s a sign of needing help as coaches. These will be the majority of the names you read about April-Aug too. Hard to catch up to this pace👇🏾A lot of TX high school coaches aren't familiar with indoor times. This meet says, if you're coaching sprints/hurdles and aren't too familiar, get some help. This is similar to a mid-major conference meet, especially if it was just top 8 to the final. - Congrats to 2028 Dillon Mitchell on breaking HIS own 15/16 USATF National 100m Record in the prelims today. Old record 10.45 and new record is 10.34💪🏾. He’s run 10.17 this season … he has plenty left in the tank for tomorrow’s semi and Sunday’s final! #APXP @2uperman2
