🇺🇸 I’ve been at the #IHSA almost 16 years & have heard A LOT of high school students sing the anthem. I’ve also been to my fair share of college/pro sporting events. The rendition Joliet West’s Payton Fraser gave at state girls basketball on Saturday was as good as I’ve heard.

After struggling to get through 7th grade basketball practice last October, Kade Leesman was diagnosed with Leukemia. He went through hell, but fought to come back for his eighth grade season only to break his arm in the opener. He got a bucket on 8th grade night 🥲 #SCTop10

I officiated a 7th grade boys basketball game last night in which a team implored the “have a player act like dog distraction inbound play.” I won’t reveal the team (for scouting purposes) and no, it didn’t work.

Sad to hear the #IHSA beat won't include @DaveKaneSJR & @deuceandabuse this fall. Both were tireless workers who loved preps & gave high school sports the BIG TIME treatment. Both should be commended for their careers, and both will be missed. Best of luck to Dave & Darren!
