The Vanni and Vanny mask are actually two different things. One is a hard mask that only covers the user's face. The other is a cloth, costume head that has different coloration and stuff like the whiskers. It isn't really possible for Cassie's mask to have been Vanny's SB mask
I think it's very cool how at this point, when he moves his hands what you hear moving primarily is the mechanical joints. The suit parts aren't being held back anymore, so that's what's doing the moving now :)
