Last Friday, @USMC ordered that all Confederate flags be banned from public view. This includes bumper stickers, clothing, mugs, posters, and more. The #Marines are the first branch to establish the ban. usatoday.com/story/news/nat…

Dr. Kate Hendricks Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones this afternoon. She developed cancer from toxic exposure while in the @USMC & battled it for 4 years while advocating for other #veterans. IAVA honors her legacy. View her story. cbsnews.com/news/burn-pits…

On #MedalOfHonor Day, we remember Alwyn Cashe. After saving six fellow soldiers from a burning car, SFC Cashe passed from his burns in 2005. He received the Silver Star, but after a campaign by former leaders and colleagues of Cashe, his award was upgraded in 2021. A true hero.
