- Some of you may know that I’ve been dealing with a personal medical issue this season. In light of this I will require surgery later this week, so following Wednesday’s game I will have to put this season in the books. Looking forward to starting a new chapter next spring. ❤️
- There’s a reason baseball plays 162 games. It’s not to put nearly half of the 30 teams in the playoffs. Goodness.
- Hi, all. I just want to send my heartfelt thanks for your beautiful well wishes over the past weeks. Recovery, however arduous, is underway and you have given me strength that is impossible to measure. I love and miss you, and as long as my thumbs work we will stay connected.
- Well, if you watched or listened to today’s first game you were in on @Mets history. It will go down as one of the most memorable games, regular season or otherwise this franchise has ever played. A privilege to have called it. Cherish it. A game and win for the ages.
- I don’t care who you root for, but if you can’t find even an ounce of compassion for Orion Kerkering you are undoubtedly devoid of a soul.
- This is perhaps the most unique moment in the history of the New York Mets. I told you from day one that Steve Cohen was not about to be the little brother in town. He was taking dead aim at the Yankees and everyone else. It’s on.
- The message from ownership is crystal clear. The @Mets are all in. This year, next year and beyond. Nothing is ever guaranteed in sports, but there’s no denying one basic fact. It’s a great time to be a Mets fan.
- Once again, I have no idea how the Carlos Correa saga will play out, but I think Pete Davidson is on his third girlfriend since it started.
- Yesterday was, without question, one of the most remarkable days in Mets history. It was Woodstock South. The @Mets alumni were in awe of all that was done for them to provide a memory that will last forever. Proud to have been a part of it. Bravo to all, from ownership on down.
- This is what I’ve been telling you is inevitable for quite a while now. The American League (1901) and the National League (1876) will cease to exist as we know them. 00:00 - If you’re too young to remember Tom Seaver or the best of Dwight Gooden, make sure to savor every Jacob deGrom start. Do not take this for granted. His brilliance is, at minimum, generational. Rejoice in what we are watching. It is simply historic, and are privileged to see it.
