I find it genuinely so disturbing how poorly women are actually treated in the MC event community. To think that people are denied opportunities or silenced and ignored purely because they are female is downright wrong. To think that women are subjected to constant s*xual 1/7

harassment, and are forced to put up with and suppress serious trauma because they don't have the necessary support, is terrifying. It makes my blood boil, when almost every day, I see a new post, or a new thread about another womans scary experiences be it on or offline. 2/7

Instead of being confident, free and flourishing, so many female mc players and creators are forced to deal with frequent bullying because of a ridiculous stereotype that should have been left behind decades ago. Yet still today, we see so many terrible things happening, yet 3/7

we do nothing about it? What kind of community are we seriously creating if all we do is make a place for sexism and misogyny. As a supposedly inclusive community, we genuinely need to speak out more about these issues, and do everything in our power to stop the abhorrent 4/7

We need to do more to uplift the female voices in this space, we need to do more to protect and support to women in our community bcus they don't deserve to feel afraid to put themselves out there. Women have a right to be free/express themselves, and we shouldn't limit that. 7/7

Women in content creation are so overlooked, especially in the MC event community and it is genuinely appalling. WE NEED to change it. Stop making creepy comments, stop treating women like they don't belong. They do. They deserve every chance in the world. 6/7
