The line at Wildwood Baptist Church in Clinton currently. Some voters who just cast their ballot had waited for 2 and a half hours. I’m told this polling location has run out of ballots at least 5 times and have been restocked w/ less than 100 ballots every couple hours. @WLBT

If you’re wondering how windy it is here in McComb, it’s windy enough to where I’m not sure how much longer this steeple will make it. Stay off the roads and be safe! #HurricaneIda @WLBT

.@tatereeves stands with MEMA and MSDH to discuss Jackson’s water crisis. Reeves says he didn’t personally invite Mayor @ChokweALumumba to the briefing and isn’t sure if anyone else did. The city’s communications director says she found out about the presser via Twitter. @WLBT

A balloon release was held in Brookhaven tonight for 23-year-old Myrtessia Catchings. She was a manager at this Waffle House and was shot and killed early Monday. It’s obvious that she was loved by many. More tonight on @WLBT at 10.

Last night, I said “In Columbia, I’m Brendan Hall, KOMU 8 News” for the very last time. Next month, I’ll continue telling stories for @WLBT as a news reporter. I can’t thank the @mujschool and the people of mid-MO enough for giving me a place to grow! #3OnYourSide

Hundreds of people are waiting outside the Mississippi Coliseum for the 18th annual Jackson Black Rodeo. Last year’s event was cancelled due to the pandemic, and participants tell me they’re excited to be back with their rodeo family. @WLBT

Ever heard the phrase, “misery loves company?” Check out this new beer, “Missouri loves company.” Twenty-two breweries from across the state collaborated to produce it, and two of them are here in Columbia. Learn more about the effort on @KOMUnews at 5 & 6!

MS has the nation’s highest fetal mortality rate due to complications like stillbirths and miscarriages, not abortions. One local non-profit says they need lawmakers’ help to truly make MS the “safest place in the world for the unborn.” @wlbt
