We have closed a cause of concern for @warkspolice about its response times to incidents. Following our revisit, we found the force has made significant progress and its performance has improved to an acceptable standard.

Today we have published the findings from our child protection inspection of @Cumbriapolice. We found that the constabulary carries out its statutory safeguarding responsibilities effectively. But it needs to improve how it investigates child criminal and sexual exploitation.
Colour-coded table showing HMICFRS inspection gradings across areas of child protection work. The headings are outstanding (dark green), good (green), adequate (yellow), requires improvement (red) and inadequate (dark red). Under good are 'Leadership of child protection arrangements' and 'Working with safeguarding partners'. Under adequate are 'Responding to children at risk of harm' and 'Risk assessment and referrals'. Under requires improvement is' Investigating child abuse, neglect and exploitation'. There are no entries under outstanding or inadequate.

Our latest inspection of @NorthantsPolice has been published today. We found that the force supports its workforce well and has improved 999 and 101 call handling. But, we found that the force's overall performance in solving crime hasn’t improved since our last inspection.
Coloured table showing Northamptonshire Police’s grade in each area of our inspection. Under yellow for ‘adequate’, there is developing a diverse and inclusive workforce, preventing and deterring crime, safeguarding children and adults, managing fraud and providing a safe custody environment. Under bright red for ‘requires improvement’, there is leadership and force management and responding to the public. Under dark red for ‘inadequate’, there is investigating crime.
