This is not a drill: the ATF is accepting public comments on 34 proposed rules. We need you to flood the record before the deadline closes. That’s why we built a simple action center where you can review each rule, see our position, and submit pre-written comments in just a few

In Wolford v. Lopez today, SCOTUS rejected HI’s “spirit of aloha” “vampire” property-based efforts to “hobble” 2A rights, which under Bruen allow law-abiding citizens the lawful use of their firearms. @CivilRights says “mahalo” to SCOTUS! This @TheJusticeDept fights for you!

As the bill's patron, this is disappointing, but not surprising. Opponents of SB749 have already lost in one court, but they have been court shopping in search of a favorable outcome. We wrote this law to be consistent with the Constitution and historical precedents such as the

Liberals desperately trying to pretend that the government forcing a blanket ban on carrying on private property unless you directly ask everyone you pass for permission is "property rights." If a property owner bans carry, they can do that on their own property. You don't get

The right-wing justices do not actually believe in private property. They believe in rule of the rich. They only care about private property insofar as it is a tool for enriching the rich. This is such a clear attack on private property. nytimes.com/2026/06/25/us/…

🚨🚨 SCOTUS just sided with the gun lobby over public safety. Today's decision will make it harder for business owners to keep guns off their property. It is another step toward the gun lobby's dangerous agenda, and communities will pay the price. nytimes.com/2026/06/25/us/…

The Supreme Court's ruling in Wolford v. Lopez struck down a Hawaii law that banned guns on private property open to the public by default. However, business and property owners still retain the right to prohibit guns on their premises by posting signs. scotusblog.com/2026/06/suprem…

When we presented statistical evidence in May v. Bonta that those with CCW permits almost never commit crime, your DOJ didn't even argue that point. They conceded it.

Gun laws keep people safe. This ruling by Trump’s Supreme Court will only endanger people. If Justice Alito really thinks people need guns to go to the grocery store “for self-defense,” this country is truly broken.

Additional Context: Original post is mostly opinion, but context is needed. SCOTUS ruled that private businesses open to the public presumably allow lawful, constitutionally-protected activity unless otherwise explicitly prohibited. You can still post a "no guns" sign. supremecourt.gov/opinions/25pdf…

If a property owner wants to ban something from their property, they still can. If a person refuses to leave after breaking that rule and the property owner wants to press charges, they still can. What YOU can't do is interject yourself into the conversation, apply a blanket

    Replying to @SenBlumenthal
Requiring a gun owner to get a property owner’s consent before bringing in a weapon was reasonable—respecting the rights of both. This dangerous decision strips away commonsense safety measures & puts the public at greater risk.

🚨 In a 6-3 vote, the Supreme Court struck down Hawaii’s rule that banned carrying guns on most private property that is open to the public unless the owner gave explicit permission, holding that it violates the Second and Fourteenth Amendments.
