I'm excited to announce @Astranis has raised $450 million of new capital. All of it so we can scale to meet surging demand for advanced high-orbit spacecraft— for GEO, MEO, and beyond. This includes a Series E led by Snowpoint and Franklin Templeton, with Andreessen Horowitz,

Incredible picture of the ISS by Maxar. Shows 6 different spacecraft docked for the first time ever: SpaceX Dragon, Boeing Starliner, Cygnus, Soyuz, 2x Progress. They did it by taking one of their Legion satellites —which normally do Earth observation— and pointing it up towards

This what I've been waiting for. Holy crap. Not a sketchy video from China but replication by an American team, with people I know in the room. Huge congrats to the team at @VardaSpace. Things are about to get wild.

This is unreal. These board members fired sama without *any* communication with Microsoft, Khosla, Sequoia? They will never sit on the board of directors of a company ever again.

Scoop: OpenAI investors were caught by surprise by Friday’s board ouster of CEO Sam Altman. Key firms like Khosla Ventures, Sequoia and Thrive Capital got no advance warning of the board’s shock plan, sources told @Forbes. By me and @kenrickcai: forbes.com/sites/alexkonr…

Astranis has just signed a contract with SpaceX for another Falcon 9 — this time for five satellites, launching later this year. This will be our third launch with SpaceX in three years. Accelerate. 🚀🚀🚀

Ah yes, the infamous Tesla monopoly over *checks notes*... cars. I do remember the days of yore when I could buy other cars or trucks. But no more, sadly. Only Teslas as far as the eye can see due to their damn monopoly.

There are basically 5 ways to accumulate a billion dollars: 1) Profiting from a monopoly 2) Insider-trading 3) Political payoffs 4) Fraud 5) Inheritance Don’t believe the self-made myth.

Great news-- we have acquired and established command authority over all four spacecraft. We'll keep you all posted as these missions continue to progress. Thanks for the ride, @SpaceX. Hell of a launch.

Super excited to announce that we're now on a @SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch with a launch window of spring of next year. The extra Falcon Heavy performance will give us a direct-inject to GEO, saving months of time normally spent on orbital maneuvers. Thx @thesheetztweetz!

Astranis' first commercial satellite gets a rideshare upgrade: The satellite is moving from SpaceX's Falcon 9 to Falcon Heavy, launching as a secondary payload on the ViaSat-3 mission in spring 2022 – enabling Astranis to bring its broadband service to Alaska "months faster."

NASA administrator @SenBillNelson backs fixed-cost contracts, like those given to SpaceX for Dragon & Starship development, saying that cost-plus contracts, like the ones given for SLS & Orion, have “been a plague” on the agency.   “You get it done cheaper.”

The US Space Force just canceled a multibillion-dollar program for a GEO communications satellite. And it was the right call. The future is coming too fast to keep sending infinite, responsibility-free dollars to the old defense primes.

Shoutout to @BrendanCarrFCC and the FCC. We just saw them move at lighting speed. Astranis needed a new license for an on-orbit tech demo for a US military customer. And his team turned it around in <24 hours. On a Saturday. Time to accelerate US activity in space🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
