Kinda scary that the NDP thinks @elonmusk, a Canadian citizen, shouldn’t be allowed to express his views on Canadian politics. Silencing opinions you don’t like isn’t democracy—it’s censorship.

Respectfully disagree. As a woodlot owner in NS, I can tell you firsthand: the forest floor is like tinder right now. You can feel the heat rising from it - just waiting for a spark. Our province is small, and communities are tightly woven into the woods. One fire here doesn’t

Agreed. Being cautious due to dry conditions and possible wildfires makes sense. Banning walking in the woods, and threatening penalties of $25,000 per incident, is beyond the pale.

1/ So @TimHoustonNS just made history, becoming the first Nova Scotia premier in nearly half a century to increase his majority in a second term. Here's how he did it. 🧵

Bold (crazy?) prediction: Trudeau isn’t resigning—he’s calling an election soon. His message to caucus: run under my leadership or leave. I’ve watched and studied him as an opponent for years—Trudeau is many things, but he’s no quitter.

The Elections Act: S.91 bans false statements to mislead voters. S.320 requires authorization tags. Violations can mean up to $50k in fines and 5 years in jail. Sure, those buttons may seem like a small prank, but they may also be criminal.

It just occurred to me that Damien is giving up his seat 6 months before he is eligible for a pension. This is a man who loves his country and believes in his leader.

Agreed, @dckurek is a good man. His decision is a remarkable sacrifice for the party, and a true testament to his character.

Mark Carney's press conference was a disaster - combative, condescending, and evasive on his assets. This guy isn’t ready for prime time, and with an election perhaps just days away, there’s a real chance he crumbles under the pressure. Buckle up.

Lol. Liberal MPs just voted to give themselves NO power to remove their leader. Because nothing says modern governance like medieval loyalty. Clearly, the last two years taught them nothing.

The Liberals are governing like they have a majority. They don’t. They just lost a vote forcing them to table a spring budget, something they weren’t planning to do. If they’re not careful, they’re going to Joe Clark themselves.

The House has voted in favour of a Conservative amendment to the throne speech calling for a budget to be introduced before the House rises for the summer. The amendment passed 167 to 164 (the Liberals have 169 seats so they had some no shows) #cdnpoli ourcommons.ca/Members/en/liv…

Very poor form. It’s clear Carney isn’t used to speaking to crowds. Mocking premiers, especially in front of a partisan crowd, shows a lack of judgment. In this campaign, he keeps making what some might call tiny mistakes, but death by a thousand cuts is still a thing. 3 weeks...

One of the most important job of any PM is national unity. So why then is Mark Carney mocking premiers? He's ddefinitely mocking Danielle Smith and I think he's mocking Doug Ford, this Liberal audience in Victoria sees Ford as a punchline. What do you think?

This puts us on pace for 76% turnout, the highest since 1984. For the curious: the record is 79%, from Diefenbaker’s 1958 landslide. Hmm… what might 1958, 1984, and 2025 have in common?
