I'm convinced Real Madrid hate their academy products. Buying Mastantuono for €45m, when you can return Paz, the superior player, one of your own, for 9m only really makes no sense. Either way these are great news for both Cesc and Nico. Staying at Como is exactly what he needs

🚨🇦🇷 Following Franco Mastantuono deal, Real Madrid will not sign Nico Páz this summer. Nico Páz will stay at Como under Cesc Fabregas for one more season, as Real confirmed. 👀 Real Madrid will have €9m buy back clause for summer 2026, €10m for summer 2027.

I'm still baffled by this, they spent 50 mil+ on a way worse player than Nico Paz. Watching him at the cwc confirmed my suspicions about him. Not that I'm complaining I would like Paz to stay but this shows Madrid's horrible squad building in the last few years.
