To me, Splitgate 2 represents second chances. 🌀 After being let go by 1047 in Oct 2023, I did a lot of soul searching. Ultimately, I decided on a career change from marketing to software engineering. Then I was re-hired part time in February. It's time you heard the story- 🧵

The tl;dr: - SG 2 is getting relaunched next year and STAYING ONLINE IN THE MEANTIME - Cost cutting measures such as shutting down OG Splitgate and layoffs - Anyone laid off gets severance and job placement assistance - An offline mode will be added to SG 1 - Give us feedback!❤️

Splitgate and @1047Games mean the world to me. Ian and Nick took a huge chance on me, letting me take over their socials and later community. Working at 1047 was actually life changing and is my main inspiration to pursue CS. I'm not going anywhere yet! I'll see you all around!
