This week is Glaucoma Awareness Week.👀 I want to encourage everyone to get their eyes tested regularly.🔍 Glaucoma is asymptomatic in its early stages, with over half of cases undiagnosed, making regular sight tests incredibly important in identifying the early risk signs.👓

During #AlcoholAwarenessWeek, I’m backing @CAPUKnews and their call to recognise the risks of parental supply of alcohol. Their research shows an alcohol-free childhood is the healthiest and safest choice. I support an #AlcoholFreeChildhood. ❌🍺🍷

The Govt has finally given a long overdue apology to mothers who were forced to give up their children for adoption I called on the Govt to apologise back in 2018 and, although it will not diminish the pain and loss of those affected, an apology is the very least they deserve 💔

I have written to the Chief Executive of South Tyneside Council regarding the proposed closures of STANLEYs Nurseries ❌🏫🧒 These nurseries are a lifeline in our communities and I will continue to support residents to keep these nurseries open. 🤝
