- Not guilty verdict in a trial centering on whether a kiss was "sexual". Imagine being publicly jeered & then a stranger forcibly placing his mouth on yours in a kiss. Such male entitlement. Totally unacceptable. Would Gascoigne have done this to a man?
- Most survivors of rape don't choose to report to the police, for all kinds of reasons, not least because of how awful the criminal justice system can be. This is a hard but compelling read from 15 survivors about their experiences. So much needs to change:
- No woman should feel reporting to the police is more dangerous than staying in an abusive relationship. @lawrs & #StepUpMigrantWomen project are fighting for safety of women to be prioritised over immigration enforcement. They say “Ask me if I am safe, not where I am from”
