Jefferson County is under a Flood Watch through 8pm this evening.
Because the ground is saturated and streams are already running high, isolated flash flooding could happen, especially in urban areas.
Showers and thunderstorms will move through the state again today and early tonight, with the greatest chances across the northern half of the area. Highs today will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s, and lows tonight will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
7:55am UPDATE: The Level 2 of 5 (Slight Risk) has been expanded to include a larger portion of Central AL through this afternoon & evening with a little higher chance of seeing damaging straight-line winds. Timing remains the same. #alwx
Flood Watch in effect now through Tues, May 26 at 10 PM.
Multiple rounds of heavy rain expected Mon–Tues on top of earlier rainfall. 1–2" likely with locally 3–4", which may cause flash flooding, especially in urban/poor‑drainage areas.
