Every factory has two processes: 1. The one in the document. 2. The one the floor actually uses to get the part built correctly. The gap between them is where tribal knowledge hides. That gap feels manageable until the person who knows the workaround is out, and the document

Happy 250th, America 🇺🇸 Two hundred and fifty years ago today, a small band of builders pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to a nation that did not yet exist. In every generation since, Americans have answered the same summons: crossing the oceans,

BREAKING: Two people have climbed to the top of the Empire State Building in New York City, holding a banner from the skyscraper's antenna reading, "When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace." As of now it's unclear how the pair reached the top of the

Your customer never sees your factory. Not the rework loop, not the change order stuck in an inbox, not the line waiting on a revision nobody pushed. They only see how long they waited. Every internal mess eventually gets paid for at the loading dock.

Your factory has built something close to this part before. Many times. But that experience isn't anywhere you can reach it. The fixture someone figured out, the tolerance that always gives trouble, the supplier that came through in a pinch, scattered across jobs nobody

Managers walk the floor for a reason. It's the only way to find out what's actually happening, because the system already told them something else. When the floor and the system disagree, people stop trusting the system. Then you're paying engineers to be detectives.

Your best technician opens 11 windows to do their job. Drawing, BOM, work instruction, MES, the latest ECO email, the supplier portal, two PLM tabs, and a Slack thread. The product gets built between context switches.
