As young officer, had the privilege of travelling across the world with PM Vajpayee. Learnt values of graciousness, humour, large heartedness, tolerance and a love for the finer and cultured aspects of life. He was President, ICCR and we walk in his footsteps. Miss him.

We shared same passions of fantasy books, puzzles, superhero comics, games. But while I remain an ordinary bureaucrat, my eldest daughter Hannah has become Dr. Patnaik, PhD in economics and public policy. Fathers pride knows no bounds. #PhD

Indian cultural practices and habits give us protection against diseases like COVID19, but they are not a cure. Request all enthusiastic Indians to not spoil our cultural ethos by advocating non-scientific cures that make us look silly. Follow government instructions.
