Hugely proud of the @LNER team this week - I won’t go into details but their vigilance and professionalism has saved five people’s lives this week, in addition to dealing with on-board medical emergencies and many other customer service issues. Truly incredible effort. Thank you!
This morning we've turned our "Flying Scotsman" into our "Flying Scotswoman". An all female crew - drivers Tori and Mel, with Train Managers Ruth and Kirsteen - are bringing some inspiring @LNER women to London.

Today our last InterCity225 vehicles left Bounds Green depot where they have been maintained since 1988.
Thank you to everyone at the depot for their dedicated hard work to keep these iconic, record-breaking trains in service over the past three decades! 👏👏👏
A huge well done to the four members of our @LNER York station team who have saved two lives with CPR and defibrillators in the past three weeks! #lifesavers
It has taken quite a behind-the-scenes effort over the past three days to bring this record-breaker back into service today.
It is an example of the action we’re taking to minimise disruption to our services at the current time, whilst the precautionary checks are undertaken.
