I'm very glad that I managed to get the driver to abort their overtake. Reviewing the video sent chills down my spine. This is the biggest danger that I face on rural roads. It is mind boggling how some drivers fail to see the danger of overtaking towards blind bends.

Look at all these drivers hogging the lane. You would think that they would show a bit of courtesy and pull in to allow faster traffic to pass. They don't pay road tax, yet feel entitled to block the road.

Why don't selfish drivers pull over to allow faster traffic to pass?

Contains 🤬. This Barna waste driver decides to put me in danger by driving extremely close in order to bully their way past while gesturing at me to move over. To preempt the 'why weren't you using the cycle lane' questions. Taking the lane is the safest option here.

What a miserable way of commuting driving is. Imagine going through this everyday when there is a faster and more efficient way of travel available. If only Galway city council had the will to build safe active travel infrastructure instead making the lives of drivers a misery.

Remember that *cough* viral video from January. The court case against the driver for carless driving is going ahead tomorrow as is the case against me for a public order offence. I think that there will be strong public interest in whether swearing while in fear is an offence1/2

As a gesture of goodwill towards drivers, I sometimes pull over to allow "faster traffic" to pass. But to be honest I do it because I get an enormous sense of satisfaction from passing those same drivers again while demonstrating the inefficiencies of cars on urban roads.

Since drivers are always complaining about cyclists not being visible enough, I decided to buy a helmet light. I wasn't sure if 13000 lumens would be bright enough but my concerns disappeared after testing it 😎☀️. You're welcome drivers🤗 #BeSafeBeSeen

Well being threatened with a knife is a new cycling experience for me. Top tip for drivers. If a cyclist asks you if you are willing to accept your mistake, taking a knife from a door pocket and threatening to stab them in the neck with it is never the right response.

I'm delighted to be taking part in a pilot scheme on the feasibility of transporting fridges and washing machines by bike. If the scheme proves successful, SUVs will be phased out, and owners will be able to scrap their vehicles in exchange for a cargo bike and trailer.

Reminder for drivers to leave space for faster traffic to pass. Only two of these drivers were observant enough to make space. With one driver deliberately blocking to stop me from filtering on their left. Check your mirrors instead of your phones.

When drivers say that cyclists should ride in single file and keep close to the edge. It's so that they can do this. Watch the Renault at the end. Had that happened as the Toyota driver was dangerously overtaking the cyclists, it would have resulted in a catastrophic collision.

What is wrong with drivers? I was stopped at the lights before Mrs Range Rover arrived, so she can't use the excuse of not being aware I was there as she barged her way across.
