We would like to wish a very happy retirement to respected Station Manager Pete Kavanagh, who switched off his alerter on Friday after 28 years of service. Pete joined CFRS in 1998 and has made a huge contribution both as a wholetime and on-call firefighter.

If you’re struggling in water, remember to #FloatToLive 👂 Tilt head back with ears submerged 🫁 Relax, try to breathe normally 👋 Move hands/legs to stay afloat 🦵 It’s OK if your legs sink 🗣️ Once breathing is controlled, call for help or swim #DrowningPreventionWeek
