The San Diego to Los Angeles route is the second busiest rail corridor in the entire United States. Fixing it is essential. We should get more miles per dollar than we get now. Cost containment doesn't mean less transit, it means more. We can follow European models to contain costs, & still have strong protection for unions & enviro.

- Memo to pro-housing advocates and electeds: Say how you're supporting affordable "homes." Easier to find allies for "homes." Residents of apartments, condos, and houses all think of where they live as their "home." Nobodys think of where they live as "housing," or a "unit."
