    Crypto projects now: millions of venture capital backing, marketing team, pay exchanges to list, flashy websites with animations, brand partnerships, etc. Bitcoin: Nym slaps together a website and a whitepaper. Trillion dollar asset.

    It’s funny watching @ElonMusk go through the classic Bitcoin villain origin story beginning with a massive investment, followed by wanting to make a change to the system, then an inevitable bruised ego before moving to a competing system.

    All your fiat based assets are ultimately secured by the same legal system that today made it illegal for me to host the Bitcoin whitepaper because a notorious liar swore before a judge that he's Satoshi. A system where 'justice' depends on who's got the bigger wallet.

    Satoshi himself uploaded the Bitcoin whitepaper to bitcoin.org. It's linked too from millions of pages, and cited by thousands of academic papers . Us removing it would be a betrayal to his legacy. It will never happen.

    Beware attempts to associate Bitcoin with certain political factions, or diets, or particular lifestyle choices. Bitcoin is neutral technology. Bitcoiners don’t all have to be the same cardboard cutout caricature that some people want to make us. We’re all different.

    Default judgement awarded to Craig Wright. Cobra has to put a notice up on bitcoin.org for six months about the default judgement. Also has to pay Craig’s costs, £35,000 in interim payments ordered so far.

    If @coinbase with all their engineers and money is struggling with scaling a centralized website, imagine how difficult of a problem it is to scale a peer to peer network to millions of users safely while preserving the decentralization that makes it valuable in the first place.

    There’s been a MASSIVE 42% increase in visitors to Bitcoin.org from Istanbul as the Turkish Lira plummets. This is how Bitcoin takes over the world, not through ETF’s and “HODL”, but through replacing fiat currencies as they fall apart!

    I don't think people understand how revolutionary the idea of converting electrical energy into monetary units that can be exchanged without a trusted third party through the internet actually is. This some next level science fiction kind of shit when you think about it.
