CCFD #4thOfJuly activity. @ClarkCountyFD responded to 176 outside fires and 26 building/vehicle fires. On a typical day, CCFD responds to an average of 15 outside & 6 building fires. 30 citations were issued & nearly 700 pounds of illegal fireworks were seized in Clark County.

The Animal Foundation took in 117 animals over the #4thOfJuly weekend (Saturday and Sunday), with the majority (91) being lost pets.

The @ClarkCountyFD is still investigating but illegal fireworks are suspected in a commercial building fire in southwest Las #Vegas the early morning hours after the #4thOfJuly. There was nobody inside the building and no one was injured. Damage is estimated to exceed $250,000.

Many pets go missing on the #4thofJuly due to fireworks. Fireworks can cause pets to panic and escape. Pet owners should keep pets indoors in a quiet, secure space, make sure they wear a collar with ID tags, and verify that their microchip information is current. #America250
