🚨 Building structures on top of manholes used to access the sewer system for maintenance is dangerous. It can cause sewage to overflow into your home and restrict access to the City when repairs are needed. It’s a health and safety risk. Keep manholes clear!

The City has proactively jet-cleaned a record 625,5 km of sewer pipelines— more than triple its annual target. This R207,9 million investment helps reduce sewer blockages, prevent overflows & keep services running this winter. Help protect the network: bin it, don’t block it.
