Excited to announce that colleagues & I have identified a new #concussion sign that's been hiding in plain sight. We named it Spontaneous Headshake After a Kinematic Event, or SHAAKE. Seen in movies & cartoons, it hasn't been in protocols, but should be. usnews.com/news/health-ne…

If Tua takes the field tonight, it's a massive step back for #concussion care in the NFL. If he has a 2nd concussion that destroys his season or career, everyone involved will be sued & should lose their jobs, coaches included. We all saw it, even they must know this isn't right

Gronk's cheap shot gave Tre'Davious White a #concussion. If he's not suspended, it signals cheap shots are fair game now in NFL. Had it been Tom Brady's knee, player would be banned for life. Just because you can't see his injured brain doesn't mean it's not as serious.

This is a disaster. Pray for Tua. Fire the medical staffs and coaches. I predicted this and I hate that I am right. Two concussions in 5 days can kill someone. This can end careers. How are we so stupid in 2022.

Mike McDaniel said it's good Tua "doesn't have anything more serious than a #concussion." I don't think this guy gets it. A concussion is a traumatic brain injury & posturing suggests brain stem injury. It's pretty high on the list of serious medical consequences of football.

Tua suffered a traumatic brain injury on this play, no question. His right arm shows the "fencing posture" indicating loss of consciousness & is on the severe end on the #concussion spectrum. He is done for the night and must miss the next game.

This unpenalized hit on DeVonta Smith that caused a traumatic brain injury needs to be discussed tomorrow. If it's open season on the heads of defenseless players, it's going to be a long year.

Prayers for Tua Tagovailoa. Note his right hand balling into a fist and his arm going straight in the air. That's posturing and a sign of loss of consciousness and a #concussion. Certainly out for the game. So sad.

In addition to stumbling when he stood up and falling, he never reached for his back or leg. Instead, he reached for his head and then shook his head side to side to "clear the cobwebs". The NFL and the Dolphins take us for fools.

Delon Wright with a brutal traumatic brain injury here. Note the double impact - he's unconscious after the head-to-head hit, so he can't protect himself on the fall and took a second hit from the hard floor. Hope he is able to recover quickly. #concussion

LISTEN: Donald Parham Jr. is at the hospital with a brain/spine injury. Joe Buck says he'd never speculate on an injury, then speculates DP's arm tremors were bc "it's cold tonight, at least by Los Angeles standards." Ladies and gents, meet rock bottom for sports broadcasting.
