    We just hired Tyree Johnson who starts the police academy next week! He was Mr. Izquierdo’s student when he was principal @CarolCityMiddle graduated from @CarolCitySr1 & @FIU Started on the @FIUFootball team for 4 years and graduated with B.S Degree in Criminal Justice. Welcome!!

    It is a shame that while this officer was attempting to break up a fight and and maintain a safe learning environment, this adult student acted in a cowardly way rather than fall in line with @MDCPS values

    Newly hired Ofc. Smith seems to be fitting in quite well at my alma mater @SWMiamiEagles - this is a true example of the impact our officers make, building rapport with teenagers who often have a negative view toward cops - these student are ready for the weekend @MDSPD @MDCPS

    A lot of discussion on school safety over the last few days for obvious reasons…in Miami-Dade County, if someone tries to enter a school and actively shoot students and staff, we are trained to neutralize the threat without hesitation.
