- We have learned of the passing of West Hills College Lemoore Head Coach Donnye Ross. Our thoughts are with his players, past and present, the Lemoore College community and Coach Ross’ family. Coach, fly high like a Golden Eagle.
- Hall of Fame Coach Retires After 30 Years
- Pasadena City HC Ryan Frazer has stepped down in order to become an assistant at the University of Montana. Frazer spent 3 seasons at PCC, finishing with a 59-32 record. No word on who will assume duties at PCC.
- Congrats to James Giacomazzi on his 350th career head coaching win tonight.
- Yuba coach Doug Cornelius won his 450th game as a head coach tonight. He has coached at the community college level, in the WNBA with the Monarchs, two as a video coordinator/scout with the Kings; 13 years in the Sacramento Pro Developmental League. Cograts coach!
- Thank you to the four-year coaches for coming out and supporting the CCCMBCA and its student athletes at the SoCal Showcase
- Four-year coaches and fans: CCCMBCA Southern California Fall Showcase, September 16-18, will be held at Cerritos College (3 courts) and Rio Hondo College (2 courts). Currently, 64 of the state’s 100 programs will be participating. Spectators are welcome ($10 per day).
- Riverside City is expected to name Andre Wilson as its basketball coach, replacing HOF coach Phil Mathews who retires on Thursday. Mathews began his career at RCC in June 2013 after spending three years as an assistant coach at UCLA.
- The CCCAA State Basketball Championship tournament and the Sophomore Showcase has been canceled, it was just announced. Players will be refunded showcase fee . . . please, check the cccmbca.org website shortly as well as your email for details.
