Toronto: We are getting reports that there are ~ >100 people in line to for 🆓 rapid tests at the Richmond-Adelaide Centre We need to continue to advocate for wider accessibility of rapid tests, the demand is there but we need more supply #FreeTheRATs

We urge any province (e.g. Ontario) using a 5 day or a shortened isolation period to mandate negative test results at the end of isolation to truly curb the transmission of COVID-19 Using an arbitrary number of days without supporting results will only prolong this pandemic

Should @CDCgov reconsider guidance on isolation & add a Neg test? Yes! Why? Bc relationship between symptom start & peak virus load has changed! Guidance must keep up accordingly. To explain: I made a (tough to read) chart based on real experience of Prof. Kato @neurotheory

RAT Mythbusters: 💥 if you continue to have a +ve RAT you shouldn’t end isolation at day 5 or 10 (exit when -ve) 💥RATs don’t stay +ve for 90 d (that’s PCR) 💥Nasal swabbing 🚫🟰 combined (oral + nasal increases accuracy of RAT) 💥 RATs shouldn’t cost cheddar 💰 #FreeTheRATs!
