This entire thing started because he wanted Palestinian-American students arrested and expelled for protesting the slaughter of their families.

It has been the case since as far as I can remember in business and in media that family was off limits, unless of course the family is directly involved in the business. The code of the road was that you can attack the protagonist as much as you want, but not his wife and not

Would it be ideal if all schools had daily tests & great ventilation? Sure, but that’s not reality. We cannot inflict further harm to an entire generation. This is not 2020: We have vaccines + masks, and Omicron is milder. Schools must be open. @ProfEmilyOster @biannagolodryga

I guess if I had just one course with 19 students in a building like the kind they have at Brown University I wouldn’t spend my days calling public k-12 teachers lazy in service to rich people who see everyone but themselves as expendable.

A high school teacher friend who just got COVID from work and had it over the holidays said 80% of her students were out sick yesterday. In a rich north NJ suburb. 1200 kids were absent from my old high school earlier this week.

Phil Murphy is (extremely likely to be) the first Democratic governor of NJ to win a second term in 44 years since Brendan Byrne in 1977.

The “spreadsheet” thing - as if it’s some neutral quantitative scientifically determined finding and not a way to reverse engineer your preferences while hiding your ideological commitments - is one of the most dean things a dean has ever said on this site.

No lie having canvassed houses like this in a local race as a D candidate 90% of the time this sign = D household that votes D only for federal races and were more hostile face to face than most Rs because they resented us for being “divisive” by running against their R friends

We went to the same place and I know exactly what you mean. Long conversation with a friend one night when he realized he didn’t get invited to a big bank recruiting thing that seemed to be for legacies and ppl who’d come from private schools. “This place isn’t really for us”
