5/6 I’m also thankful @POTUS did not heed calls for an immediate ceasefire weeks ago, as Israel could not have achieved this breakthrough had one occurred. A unilateral ceasefire only serves Hamas terrorists, who broke a ceasefire on Oct. 7th - and vow to do so again and again.

This deal was offered weeks ago & rejected by Israel. If @POTUS was pushing for #ceasefire and diplomacy instead of discouraging the entire U.S. gov from even saying the word de-escalation, the only diff would be hostages home sooner and THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT LIVES SAVED /4

We need a #CeasefireNOW It is the only path that saves Palestinian AND Israeli lives. 80% of Dem voters want it. Your failure to call for one 5 wks & 15k deaths in is a moral failing beyond words that I hope haunts you. But it’s not too late to get on the right side of history.

It is absolutely unacceptable to me that Israel is bombing Gaza - the world’s largest open air prison - and killing Palestinian civilians, especially knowing they are doing it using my tax dollars. It should be unacceptable to you too. Justice for Gaza. Free Palestine.

I am heartbroken over the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. 15 families, the South Texas community and the entire nation are in mourning. Let us pray for peace. Let us come together for our neighbors that need support. And let us remember the bright lives we lost today.
