"Why didn't he hug him what an asshole" he just killed Tails' first love. He failed him. He couldn't even bring back her remains. Tails doesn't want a hug, he wants to cry out and beat on his chest, claiming it's unfair because he's incapable of grieving in any other way.

Unironically yes. Sonic is a good sport and likes to compete fair and square. It's why "why does Sonic use a car/hoverboard, etc in spinoffs when he can already run fast" is a silly question. It's just good sportsmanship lol
