The worst part is I can’t give my kids a hug who were crying on FaceTime. The BEST part is I could give our @CycloneWBB players a hug who were crying in person. They played their ASS off tonight! 🏀🌪

I don’t have any magic words. I am heartbroken right now, for our TEAM, especially 3 of the greatest seniors I have been around. I am a better person, father, husband, and for sure coach - because of them. This is tough & it should be when you care this much! #IowaStateWay🏀🌪

It’s AMAZING how many texts I have gotten since we just had our hearts ripped out. Being a class program / handling yourself right is not a “sometimes” thing at Iowa State. Even when everything doesn’t go our way. We are winning more than 1 game! #IowaStateWay

I took this picture 8 months ago, when I showed up early to a recruits game - to find Kobe coaching his daughter! I was AMAZED at how he coached these young girls and how he handled the officials etc. Always a fan of him as a player / more of a fan as a fellow father! #Mamba 🙏🏼

Some days are tougher than others! But my grandpa would have just dug deeper, and kept working! That is what we will do, cuz that is the legacy he left our Family with. Those who knew him are all better because of it! Love you Gramps! 🙏🏼 #RIP
