we used to joke about this, but gambling mechanisms, metagame progression, interaction extenders, timewasting filler etc has all become so commonplace that most people genuinely just think that that's what videogames are now & get confused/angry when you say that stuff is bad

I don't say this really ever but this guy is cheating. Not his aim but his situational awareness isn't believable. He never checks empty corners, he snap shoots people through 99% opaque fog at 1:22. Lots of other stuff. The attitude is a giveaway too

idk all these film numbers just seem egregiously made up these days. does this movie have the same cultural impact as dark knight rises? jurrasic park? like really can we just be honest and agree that this movie didn't make a billion dollars? why is it always lies

This is a case where you should just trust Valve knows what they're doing. The new model is extremely intimidating and borderline inhuman in VR for various reasons that don't come across on a 2D screen. HL2 Gman probably came across as cartoonish in VR in comparison

People get so hung up on the obnoxious aim that they don't realize the more subtle cheating is going on. But since I was an obnoxious twitch aimer too, the way he knows things he shouldn't jumps out at me instantly. Could just be cherry picked clips but I doubt it

This personality shaping is from the formatting of the website itself, not the "culture". the culture is a result of the format reddit upvotes reward agreement twitter has prominent profiles & history on 4chan each post is its own untethered entity the medium is the message

to be clear what i'm saying is he's using a hack to see living players through walls/debris. Battlebit runs on unity and the cheats to do this in any unity game are readily available. this can even be done with an overlay so it doesn't show on stream/recordings

dont care about whatever this post is about i just wanted to mention i drew the monitor onto this reaction image like 18 years ago and it always amuses me when i see it again. you can tell how old it is because I drew a CRT monitor instead of a flatscreen

This is also a classic mentality of cheaters, having genuine good aim is a part of it. He gets off on people accusing him of aimbotting when he isn't, but aim matters far less than seeing targets before they see you, which is how he's actually cheating
