    I think that any aspiring coach should start @ DII, DIII, or JUCO level: learn to handle multiple responsibilities (many they won’t want to do), work w limited resources, & hone craft identifying & developing SAs. Weeds out those not willing to grind, while developing skills.

    Everyone reaches out when a Head Coach gets a job - either congratulations or wanting a position on staff Few reach out when a Head Coach is let go Until you’re through it, you don’t know how much it means & the impact it makes hearing from others in the hard times

    As an Assistant Coach, whether your team loses a single game or have lost a lot so far, your attitude should never be more negative than your Head Coach Your job is to bring the same level of positivity & energy each & every good & bad day the program may have
