- Latest FBS Catholic School standings: 1. Boston College 2-0 2. Notre Dame 1-1 (1)
- I’ve read “typical BC” a number of times this afternoon. It’s a one possession game with 3:45 left on the road at No. 6 in the country. Typical my ass. A bunch of tough kids competing their ass off against a more talented team.
- New England men’s college basketball standings: 1. BC 6-1 2. UConn 4-2 (1.5)
- I am told by a BC source that UMass has requested not to play its game at BC next season. UConn will replace UMass on the BC schedule. Likely an October game at Alumni Stadium
- To the BC fam: Let’s choose our words about the Castellanos situation carefully. This may be hopelessly ideological, but he’s still a kid figuring things out. As we all were at that age. We wish him luck, thank him for some good days and move on with Grayson James.
- Nobody should suggest the Giants have anyone to blame but themselves. But if you condone what Doug Pederson did tonight, you understand zero about sports. Zero.
- Dear @nesn … the video quality tonight for BC v BU hockey was atrocious. Embarrassing. Do better or let someone else broadcast this. Awful.
- So a kid who goes to, for example, NFA with 2,000 other kids is at less risk in school than in a theoretically empty gym playing basketball against 9 other players, 3 refs and few coaches. Of course.

- How great is this? Damien Woody, AJ Dillon and Matt Ryan live tweeting and loving this!
- Potential MLB history tonight. Jesse Hahn (bullpen) followed Matt Harvey (starter) in the Royals game. Might be the first time two guys not just from the same high school, but the exact same high school team (2005, 2006, 2007 Fitch) followed each other. Trying to find out.
- There will come a time - soon because Bill O’Brien is a hell of a coach - that a 7-5 regular season won’t be good enough. But now? An outstanding season for the Eags! Future bright. (And we have a QB) @BCFootball
