Just a couple weeks ago I was announced CANCER FREE!!!!! I won the battle!! I have 4 more treatments and I’m officially done. I would be lying if I said I didn’t have doubts. But at the end of the day all we know is FIGHT. Never give up. Go Bucks #FIGHT #AveryStrong💛

This isn’t the way I wanted to release this, but I know no other way. A couple days ago I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. I will fight this! I have never been a statistic and I never will! I want to thank my brothers and coaches for the endless support!

Day: 1 I’ve started my first chemotherapy session. I feel great and ready! I’m extremely thankful for the support I have received from everyone! I will always continue to fight and I ask that you guys do the same throughout your lives. #ImnotaStatistic #Fighter #screwcancer 💛

I’ve been dreading this post for awhile but it has to be done. As many of you have asked “can you return to football” and the quick and easy response is no. Osteosarcoma/Chemo Takes a lot from you. Medical doctors have told me they wouldn’t clear me and It’s extremely dangerous.

It’s been roughly a month since my first chemo treatment. I want to keep you guys updated on the process. Yesterday my younger brother and I decided to shave our hair! I can’t thank you enough Dane. You may be my younger brother but in many ways I look up to you! 💛 #Averystrong

Coach day was always by my side! I remember vividly him talking to me multiple times during my treatments and making sure I was always apart of the team! Love our coaches and the thought they put into my family and I during our toughest times. Much love ❤️ I’m sorry to hear this.

I’ve debated sharing this, but 6 months ago my doctors found a growing lung nodule. After monitoring it, they’ve decided surgery is the best option. Tomorrow I’ll undergo a 4–5 hour procedure. I know how this sounds, but I truly believe god does everything for a reason. 🙏❤️

Update: I'm feeling good with little to no pain and should be discharged today, if all goes as planned. The mass in my lungs will be tested, and I should have results in about a week. I’ll keep everyone updated. God is good! 🙏

Today I start my last Chemotherapy session. It’s been a long journey that’s taught me many valuable lessons. That I wouldn’t of learned otherwise. My view point of almost everything has changed. When you hear some one say take in the moment. Truly take a deep breath! ❤️#Survivor
