Canada's Liberal government wants to regulate internet content and deputize social media companies to enforce "hate speech" bans (with a low and murky threshold for what "hate speech" is). I hope @elonmusk takes a stand against this.

I've decided I'm going to start answering questions my wife asks me like a politician. "Did you empty the dishwasher?" "Let me be clear. I support clean dishes. I have always supported clean dishes. It is imperative that the dishes off of which we eat are clean."

One thing to note is that the mask mandate in Ottawa is basically dead this weekend. Virtually no masks worn in hotels, food places and stores, and staff have either given up trying to enforce or don't actually care.

As more provinces do away with vaccine passports, I'm seeing people tweet that they won't be comfortable going to restaurants without them. Great – you can choose to stay home. You can't impose your fear on others who are ready to get back to normal.

Remember when Twitter banned anyone sharing the New York Post's Hunter Biden laptop story because of its "hacked materials" policy? Odd that no one seems to mind journalists tweeting about donors to the Freedom Convoy – information they have because of hacked materials.

Convoy critics point to high vaccination rates as evidence the truckers and their supporters are a fringe minority. The fact that 90% of Canadians have been vaccinated and we're still in lockdown with myriad restrictions is why people – including the vaccinated – are protesting.
