I think it is supposed to put us off. Of course it has the opposite effect.
Aside from spreadsheets jokes, seriously, this is what happens when you go after flashy apps and shiny private sector contracts. Rather than the boring but necessary work of recruiting enough competent civil servants to do the data quality assurance.
Two women a week are killed by a partner or ex-partner. And people are debating whether someone should call the police, whether someone should record it, whether someone should tell people.
This is all about power. Don't tell me it isn't.
When you grow up knowing what unemployment does to people - what it can do to whole towns or cities - that's a reason to be political. It is mine.
